Lakers rise from shadows

It’s been a great start for the Los Angeles Lakers this 2007 NBA season, even though Kobe Bryant said in the very beginning he wanted to be traded because he knew he won’t do much in a team like the Lakers.

This is the Lakers fourth straight victory, and that is something the Lakers are really proud of because they defeated the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs.

My concern about this game’s final score: 102-97, is to know what happen to the Spurs if they were facing a team with lots of weaknesses and fragile spots. Maybe this was due to the two sidelined players: Tim Duncan and Tony Parker

If that’s the reason, then I think the Spurs are in big trouble!!!

The stats for both teams are really good, watch out: Duncan has an average of 17.6 points and 8.9 rebounds, while Parker has an average of 20.1 points and 6.8 assists both sidelined with a sprained ankle.

Also Manu Ginobili recognized how lonely he felt during the game. With an average of 20.8 points, he only scored 14 points and seven of the sixteen turnovers, at the end he had to accept that the Lakers played a good defense on him. Maybe Ginobili was unprotected and his teammates left him by himself.

On the Lakers side Bryant made an excellent job, he scored 30 points. While great Lamar Odom scored fifteen points and helped with eight rebounds. They both made a wonderful job in the field and really fight against this big NBA team to maintain the difference regarding other seasons.

The ironic part of this whole tale is that Bryant hasn’t mentioned his desire to be traded, maybe because his team is raising fast and maybe his words became a prophecy of how far this team can go.

Even though the Lakers community was disappointed with all the controversy Kobe brought at the beginning, it seems that at this point, all that was left out of this new chapter they are passing through.

At last I would like to send a message to the San Antonio Spurs regarding their second straight loss… Hey guys wake up, you can’t let someone else to steal what you already own…
