The amazing Boston Celtics won their 7th consecutive game 97-93 on Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets.

This 2007-08 NBA season, seems to be their lucky season and they are taking advantage of every play and every game.

With this victory, Boston improved to 27-3 matching the best 30 NBA game start in the shot clock era, only other five NBA teams have achieved this record in the past including the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

With the absence of Tracy McGrady for the fourth consecutive game this season, and Steve Francis for injuries, Houston’s Yao Ming along with Rafer Alston and Bonzi Wells combined forces to struggle against Boston’s 20 point lead at the end of the second quarter.

The Rockets pushed the score to an 8 point difference at the end of the third, but Kevin Garnett seemed decided to leave the victory at home and scored 11 of his 26 points in the last 7 minutes of the game.

The Celtics’ second biggest player was Paul Pierce who accumulated 19 points and for the Rockets, Yao Ming had the most points with 19; Scot Pollard and Kendrick Perkins failed in their homework of stopping Ming, so Garnett had to jump and took the job himself.

“It was superstar on superstar, he accepts those challenges, and we jumped on his back and he carried us to a win.” Celtics James Posey said.

When you see Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce playing together and making history, you feel relief, who knows how long are they gonna last on the same team, but right now, it is almost a debt to any NBA fan to see these great players doing their thing on the court.

Considering that the Celtics didn’t saw the playoffs the past two seasons, this victory meant alot, and with this loss, Houston diminished his chances of making it to the playoffs to a 33.8%. That’s a lot, don’t you think?
