This 2007 NFL season brought a lot of surprises for all the teams, some were good and some were really harmful as we remember what happened to the Washington Redskins with Taylor’s suddenly dead.
Just to mention one of the good surprises, the Dallas Cowboys easily climb up to be the NFC’s top seeded team and also the New England Patriots marked another page in the NFL history with their flawless 16-0 regular season.
But the time to start a new plan and re-organize all the team structure, is now an important concern in almost every NFL team even thought the season is going through the 2007-08 NFL playoffs.
This is what Bill Parcells the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the Miami Dolphins, is working on. He definitely knows what kind of changes this ex-Super Bowl winner team needs right now, to fix Miami’s sinking ship.
Of course there’s a lot of disagreement in and out of the team due to Parcell’s decisions. But so far we can see that Bill is trying really hard to save what remains of this NFL team, who ended 1-15 this regular season.
The profile of the new coach must be: someone who can work really hard along with the new general manager Jeff Ireland, a person with thirst for triumph, a coach that wants to be always on top and not on the bottom.
I’m still thinking that Cam Cameron has lots of guilt on the poor performance of Miami this season. A crucial point here was his low anxiety of looking for more options to survive by making different plays, different positions, and different players’ structure.
But also Cameron made a big mistake hiring Trent Green, who passed through a season plagued by concussion problems. I mean, if he knew that, what makes him think that Green will be at level?
One of the hardest problem of the Miami Dolphins, is their continuously hope in finding the next Dan Marino. And that’s why; they have traded more than an entire draft’s worth of choices.
None of these choices has worked the way it should be. They need to know that Marino is gone and there’s nothing they can do to bring him back.
What they can do, is to start a new Dolphins’ era with the players that are already in the roster and the ones that they might hired in the upcoming season. Try not to think of what you guys did but think on what you guys can do in the present.
The past is gone!!!!
