What an embarrassing game was the matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons for the Spurs fans. Really disappointing

The 2006-07 NBA Champions were defeated by the Pistons with a final score of 90-80. The key for Piston’s victory was Rasheed Wallace who made great plays and moves enabling Detroit to manage the ball rapidly to the weak side for open shots.

Everything seems to be on the Pistons side definitely. Also we saw how the Pistons came out of the box with a very versatile offense with the players: Wallace, Hamilton, Billups and Prince. They all work together and showed an unknown Pistons’ side.

The game was all around Wallace who was 9 for 15 with fifteen rebounds, three assists, also three steals, 2 blocks and a total of 23 points. Rasheed was spectacular when forcing Tim Duncan to make amazing shots to maintain the Spurs from suffering a wall to wall blowout.

Poor Duncan, he was also attacked by Antonio McDyess who played a stout defense against one of the best players of San Antonio. I don’t think that this defeat was the Spurs’ fault; these matchups are like the roller coaster where you sometimes will be on top and sometimes at the bottom.

Regarding to the Spurs’ creation, since the very beginning they got low production. For example Tony Parker was 4 for 13 turnovers and just twelve points and Manu Ginobili was even worst with three for twelve and only nine points.

Tim Duncan had also a really low point-fabrication, he made miracles to go eight for sixteen with 15 rebounds, five assists and 24 points. And every time Duncan was in the bench resting for a few minutes, his NBA team was really exposed and it was easily to see that their offense was totally broke.

Better luck for next time San Antonio, keep improving and keep on going…
