These playoffs have brought a lot of bewilderment between all the NFL communities, due to the unexpected final scores of the games.
For example who thought that San Diego Chargers will beat the great Indianapolis Colts? Well it just happened and the final score was 28-24, Chargers up.
Or what can we say about Dallas recently defeat against the New York Giants, with a final score of 21-17. No one was thinking that this could happen in a final playoff game.
We all known that this 2007-08 NFL season, was really different showing us that everything can happen. We saw how the Colts were defeated for the first time in the season by the Patriots and we also saw how the Cowboys got bigger and bigger after every victorious game.
Definitely it was a mix between all the probabilities we could have. It was really nice after all; because the favorites are not always the winners and this just help us to be more cautious before forming any opinions of any favorite NFL team.
Back to my point, the Giants victory was just amazing. We never thought that they could defeat such strong team as the Dallas Cowboys, with Tony Romo one of the best quarterbacks of the 2007 NFL season and also great wide receiver Terrell Owens who was sidelined due to an sprained ankle.
Dallas loss is pointed to Tony Romo and his romance with actress Jessica Simpson, due to the coincidence with the team’s late season slide. He didn’t do his best completing only 10 of 22 passes in the second half and threw an interception in the end zone with nine minutes remaining.
We all know also that Owens was injured and that he couldn’t play with all his capacity and it was that way. But I have to recognize, that he really loves his team and that he played knowing that his health problems could get worst.
Also in a press conference after the game, tearful and really upset Owens defended his quarterback Romo. By saying that it wasn’t a player problem, it was a team problem.
I’m really sorry for Dallas and I’m very satisfied with the Giants results. I know this was something they were looking for and finally they made it.
