How important can be the absence of a teammate during a game? That’s something Kobe Bryant its being thinking of after knowing the importance and the difference that Andrew Bynum could make if he was there.

Last summer one of the most brilliant players for Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant was ready to throw out Bynum, a really important center of the team. Unfortunately things didn’t happen the way Kobe wanted and after all they are thankful he’s still in the team.

But what happened to Andrew?

Well, during the game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Lakers on Sunday night, Bynum went down after stepping on Lamar Odom’s foot during the third quarter. After that in a press conference they said that Andrew suffered a dislocation of his left kneecap, his agent called it a “subluxation”.

After this terrible and painful injury, the Lakers saw that they won the game by just one point and knew that Bynum was their key.

This victory was their sixth in a row, accomplishing the longest winning streak since the 2003-04 NBA season and also raised their record to 25-11, one of the best in the Western Conference.

Andrew Bynum is a 20 year old NBA player, who has made an incredible record at his short trajectory achieving stats similar to the adult players with 13.1 points 10.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks. Thanks to this, he has become into a really valuable player…

Of course we can’t say that the team is coming down due to this sidelined player. This 2007-08 NBA season, the Lakers has shown more experience and their decision on acquiring Derek Fisher and Trevor Ariza helped even more to their improvement and their performance.

Be prepared you guys and specially you Kobe because Andrew will be out for at least eight weeks!!!
