And the selection of NBA players for the All-Star game continues and this time the turn was for Chris Paul and David West from the New Orleans Hornets. This is the first time that both NBA players will participate on an All-Star game.
So far, so good… this All-Star game promise to be really good and also will bring a lot of excitement time for all the NBA fans.
Also there are more players chosen as reserves, from the Detroit Pistons: Richard Hamilton and Chauncey Billups (third straight year); from the Phoenix Suns: Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire and from the Washington Wizards: Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison meaning that there’s a lot of talent in the NBA players community. Of course the Boston Celtics will make their presence not with multiple players but with two of their great players.
For example from Boston great forward Paul Pierce was voted by head coaches of the Eastern Conference to join brilliant Kevin Garnett. The weird part of this is that Ray Allen didn’t qualify to star and this is something that even Pierce questioned due to the incomparable record of Allen.
But I forgot to mention that also from the East we have as participants forward Chris Bosh from the Toronto Raptors and from the Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson. Just to let you all know the East will be coached by Doc Rivers from Boston.
Now for those that prefer the player form the Western Conference here is the list of some of them: the NBA MVP Dirk Nowitzki from the Dallas Mavericks, Carlos Boozer from Utah Jazz and guard Brandon Roy from the Portland Trailblazers.
It’s being a really bad year for player Shaquille O’Neal who for the first time will miss an All-Star game after 14 consecutive selections. The best hopes for this great player.
Nash is really grateful and he expressed it to the press: “I’m very proud, it’s always a great honor, especially this year with so many guards in the Western Conference. It’s nice to be a part of that group.”
