Great NBA player Allen Iverson showed once more, why he was selected to be an All-Star player.

This brilliant player brought a lot of excitement plays and moves yesterday night while his team the Denver Nuggets faced the Portland Trailblazers.

Iverson led the Nuggets to beat the Trailblazers with a final score of 105-103. He scored 19 of twenty five points and also a game “winning fade-away” with less than one second left in overtime. This great 10-foot jumper made in the third quarter also a 35- foot 3-pointer putting his team up for a secure victory.

“I hadn’t hit anything all game, and then I make the bomb at the end of the third quarter. I’ve been around long enough to know to keep on playing and fighting and that’s what I did”, Iverson said.

Of course Iverson didn’t work alone; he was helped by other All-Star player Carmelo Anthony who scored 28 points and 15 rebounds. This was Anthony’s second appearance in the field since he was sidelined due to a sprained left ankle.

We have to recognize the great job this team made even without the presence of some important players such us: center Marcus Camby who has missed two straight games due to a knee contusion.

On the Trailblazers side, they missed James Jones one of the best 3-points shooters in the NBA due to a pain in his left knee. And maybe this is why they couldn’t cover the game as they should to get a different score.

Even that, the Blazers did a great job held on to a narrow lead but this wasn’t enough, the pressure made by Iverson and other Nuggets players were higher.

To mention some of the outstanding job this NBA team did, I have Martell Webster who scored 17 points and also player Travis Outlaw who added 16 points and ten rebounds. This is Portland’s sixth loss at home of 25 games. Not too bad!

Out of all, we can say that Allen Iverson definitely is one of the best and every game and every play makes of him a better player… he knows really good how to use the experience on his favor.
