The NFL season already ended but the news continues in this great league. On Thursday Steve Spagnuolo pulled out the Washington Redskins coaching job and the reason of his decision was his desire of continuing coaching the Super Bowl Champion: New York Giants.

I don’t want to create a new rumor or any similar but is Spagnuolo doing this because he really identifies himself with the New York Giants team or because he wants to see how many things he can learn out of the past season champions. Did he say this from the heart or just because he is looking something else behind this?

Bob Lamonte who is Spagnuolo’s agent said to the press that Steve decided to continue with Giants because his heart is in New York and that …”He loves the ownership. He loves the players. He feels he has to stay there”…

After knowing Steve’s decision to be the head coach of the Giants, this NFL team immediately make this defensive coordinator the best paid assistance in the league with a three year $6 million dollar contract.

This is a really juicy deal, don’t you think? I really hope he can be at the level this NFL team is expecting him to have if not this definitely will be a disaster.

Spagnuolo became a hot coaching after the Giants victory over the New England patriots in the 2007-08 Super Bowl. The most highlighted points of his success are thanks to his compromise with the work and the great work of the Giants defense in the 17-14 victory.

In this contention to replace Coach Joe Gibbs, are listed many popular names as Jim Fassel, Ron Meeks and Steve Mariucci and the chosen one is yet to be revealed. The Giants owner wants to do this job in the strictest of confidence, but something that he assures was that he will have the name by the end of the week.

The work continues for this champion even though the season has already ended and Spagnuolo said: “But I am equally happy to be staying in New York and look forward to continued success with the Giants.”
