Finally the Phoenix Suns saw the light yesterday afternoon, thanks to the great Shaquille O’Neal, who finally showed the entire crowd why he was traded by the Suns some time ago.
Thanks to O’Neal’s great performance they beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-87, this is a big step for the Suns due to the kind of contenders that the Spurs represent in the NBA league.
Shaquille scored 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, clarifying why he is a crucial key in the Phoenix Suns team. This was Shaquille’s tenth game with them.
This big guy is definitely well known thanks to his good capacity to avoid the penetration from the opponents. As Manu Ginobili said: “O’Neal does change things greatly for the opposition”… “It’s a big body to bother us every time we penetrate.”
This was a really great moment for the Phoenix Suns who finally are getting used to Shaq and viceversa.
For all the fans, this was the news and the action they were waiting for since O’Neal joined the Suns team. And finally we got it, finally he stand up and put out his face endorsing his reputation as a really good player.
Let’s remember that this 2008 NBA season hasn’t been that good for our star, he missed so many games but this is not all, he also missed the All-Star game for the first time since he started as an NBA player.
But finally he is performing greatly… and this is his chance to show that he’s still alive and that he just passed through a bad moment but thanks to his strength he is back to what he really is.
