Why the picture of LeBron James and model Gisele Bundchen has offended so many people? Is there something behind this cover that has turn on people’s feelings?
Well it’s easy to get offended when you made comments saying things such as: “James was the first black man to grace its cover”, now let’s think on how many conclusions can we actually take out from this phrase?
Why this magazine did a comment like this if it was not necessary, is that they want to call to controversy or maybe they want to sell more magazines because they are in the bankruptcy?
Let me tell you that no matter the reason; that is not acceptable! especially when they are referring to a racism topic. I mean what’s going on, the problems of racisms and the difference of races has been rejected long time ago… so what’s the point of starting this?
Now what? Well now, there are lots of people talking about the comment and what they see in the picture. Would you like to know some of the comments? oh! They are just plain amazing.
For example a girl from Philadelphia said: “It conjures up this idea of a dangerous black man”. By saying that, this girl is calling other people to think on such possibility increasing the rumors and the pressure.
I won’t finish this article without giving my own opinion of course. What I want to remark is that definitely there’s always someone that needs to step on others job to be happy even though the concerning topic can be really innocent.
I think Vogue made a really great cover, they made a good combination with the picture and what caught my attention was the contrast it shown. I don’t think it was necessary to start a revolution just because they heard something a little bit weird.
Let’s put it this way, if LeBron accepted it’s because there it was not offensive for him so why it would be offensive for others that didn’t participate?
Here is what the great NBA player “King James” said: “Everything my name is on is going to be criticized in a good way or bad way,” “Who cares what anyone says?”
