Amazing Johan Santana made a great debut, using a different uniform on an opening game he showed up the attitude of a champion.
The game was dominated by Santana, who lead the New York Mets to a flawless victory over their contenders the Florida Marlins 7-2.
While Santana struck out eight in seven innings, his teammate David Wright hit a three run double making even more interesting the environment for all the spectators.
This is Santana’s first regular MLB season with the New York Mets exhibiting his best movements on the field answering his fans with his outstanding pitches. He limited the Marlins to only two runs in seven innings… awesome!!!!
But who is Johan Santana? Well he is from Latin America, he was born in Venezuela and his talent to play baseball was discovered since he was a young boy. His father Jesus said that his older brother did have even more talent than Johan but he studied to be a lawyer.
At high school Santana always played baseball as center field. His brilliant career as MLB player started when a scout for the Houston Astros, Andres Reiner discovered him in 1994, sending him the next year to an academy in a place called Guacara.
He had a bad experience there and decided to leave, but Reiner after many conversations convinced him to stay. After this he was converted to a pitcher thanks to his arm speed and since that he has made wonderful things in that position.
Santana is a noble man who shares his wealth, with the ones that really needed. Since he becomes an active member the MLB, always on the offseason he dedicates his time to give any kind of help to the people of his hometown.
He also started a foundation that helps the hospitals and provides all the supplements to play baseball for childrens that live in surrounding areas.
The MLB already started, be aware of every minimal movement and every pick, try to make the best out of this season.
