Victory for San Antonio

nba season, san antonio spurs, new orleans hornets, defending champions, golden state warriors, playoffs

This is the eighth consecutive game that the NBA defending champions won, for a very good difference of points.

This time the beater team was Golden State Warriors whom only scored 92 points, while the San Antonio Spurs scored 116 taking the victory once again.

Last night’s victory will assure the Spurs a spot for the playoffs. On the other hand the Warriors must fight to acquire the postseason and for this they need to give its next contenders a big fight.

It’s incredible, but is true the San Antonio Spurs have the second position in the Western Conference, just a couple of points away from the New Orleans Hornets. This is not right, isn’t it?

I don’t think this is a good position for the defending champions; I also want to congratulate the Hornets for the big effort made this NBA season, they certainly did a good job.

My personal point of view regarding San Antonio is that they didn’t play as they should this NBA season. They had way too many defeats in games in which we all were expecting a crushing victory for them.

With three great and brilliant NBA players like Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker in the same team they can easily become a potential winner (Not to mention an undefeated NBA team.)

But instead of that, they have made a mediocre fight in many of the matchups. Will they become the NBA champions again?

If so, then I think they better prepare some good new strategies to avoid any possibility of loosing the final game like New England Patriots… they were undefeated all the regular season but lost the Super Bowl.

Let’s see what kind of surprises the NBA will give us this season.
