Guess what? Johan Santana has the worst game time in his life yesterday at the Shea Stadium.
I do understand that many MLB fans feel angry, but why did they boo Santana what’s the common point in there?
With at least a crowd of 54 700 the Shea Stadium, was heard by many people outside due to the “boos chorus” that broke up when Santana was living the MLB field.
This was Santana’s debut as a New York Mets pitcher; (And apparently this star was not so good for them, especially when Johan gave up three long home runs.) The final score of the game was 5-3 loss against the Atlanta Braves.
There are many reasons why the people were angry: they thought Santana was the savior of the Mets and they are sick and tired of losing games. This MLB team hasn’t won a World Series since 1986.
They are frustrated, but I don’t thin k this is a fair reaction against the new MLB player. He didn’t play his best maybe for the heavy environment everyone was feeling in there.
I’m not trying to excuse Santana but I do think that the fans should give them a spot where they can breathe and get into a game more relax. In other words what I’m saying is that the fans attitude is not helping at all the position where the Mets are right now.
The worst part of this is that thanks to that stress the Mets players are passing through, on yesterday game the Braves hit more home runs than the Mets have made in an entire season. This sounds really bad, don’t you think?
The reaction of Santana about this situation: “If they boo, that’s fine. That’s the history they got from not being so good, I guess.”
