Oh McGrady… Oh McGrady it’s just amazing the way he manages the ball and the field highlighting a new era in the NBA history.
Thanks to the great action of Tracy McGrady the Houston Rockets beat their contenders Utah Jazz with a final score of 94-92.
This was a really disappointed game for the Utah Jazz NBA team due to the record that they have had when playing at home. Jazz have the best record at home and yesterday McGrady took that out of their records.
This is a really important and emotional moment for the Rockets who thought that their presence in the playoffs was impossible due to the lost of one of their most important NBA player: big Yao Ming.
On this game many of the players continued to play even though the pain was killing them, showing a big hart and telling all their fans and spectators how much they wanted to win that game.
While the Rockets were enjoying their victorious night, the Jazz team was feeling a complete frustration after loosing a total of thirteen free throws and the whole game by two points. They just couldn’t believe it.
This is a final round where all the teams are fighting to survive to the final and of course Utah saw how that possibility disappeared with no turn back. On the other hand the Rockers assure the hosting of the fifth game.
Who want to know the reactions of the players? Well here are some of the reactions after the battle:
“No one thought we could win in Utah. I don’t like the term ’stole’ because that implies that we didn’t play well,” said Houston’s Shane Battier, who scored 12. “We finally did a good job of executing our game plan. We took away what we wanted to take away.”
“This was a big game. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a hurt toe or a hurt back, whatever the case may be,” Landry said. “No matter what it is, football, hockey, basketball. It’s part of playing sports.”
But what did the Jazz players said? “They showed how much they wanted to win a ballgame,” Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. “They scored 40 points in the paint. I thought they brought it to us all night long.”
