It’s amazing to see how people that are recognized for the kind of job and exposure they have on the media have done things that compromise their image and their jobs.
You know their names; and if you don’t, let me refresh your memory: Michael Vick, and Terrell Owens, two of the most problematic players on the NFL; but wait there are a lot more, like Roger Clemens, and Barry Bonds from the MLB
Currently NFL appears to be monopolizing the media stage, thanks to the latest performance from the Chicago Bear’s running back Cedric Benson
He was arrested due to a bad behavior showed on Saturday night, after the Lower Colorado River Authority stopped his 30 foot boat for a random inspection.
And what a surprised! Benson was drunk and refused to get ashore; the police officer practiced a sobriety test on the running back and he failed and for this reason they wanted him to get off the boat but he was uncooperative.
The officers that were on the scenario also told the news that aboard were fifteen passengers. By this moment the officer arrested Bunsen and he refused to do what they have told him to do. After minutes the authorities decided hit the NFL player with pepper spray.
He did not accepted the chargers against him, saying that he wasn’t drunk and that he did all what the officers told him to do. Do you think this is true or he is lying?
Here are the words from the running back after the embarrassment night on his boat:
“They gave me a field sobriety test, told me to say my ABCs and told me to count from 1 to 4 up and down. I’m thinking, I passed all the tests, did everything right. Then the officer told me we needed to go to land to take more tests. I politely asked him why we needed to go to land to take more tests when I took every test. Then he sprayed me with mace, on his boat.
“I’m not handcuffed. I’m not under arrest. I’m not threatening him. I’m not pushing him. I’m not touching him. And he sprays me right in my eye.”
Are they going to arrest this NFL player?
Did Benson understand what was happening or he was to drunk to remember it?
