The Spurs were forced to win last night at the AT&T Center, but they missed the chance to even things with the Lakers, and so Los Angeles took an important victory and left the series 3-1 with the next match being at the Staples Center.
Nobody can deny that San Antonio fought with everything they could, even players that are not regulars did a great job as Brent Barry, who came up with a career playoff-high 23 points, but it was not enough as the Lakers dominated for a few points during most of the game, and basically that is what made the difference Los Angeles won by just two points with a final score of 93-91.
Lamar Odom, who kept on blaming himself for some personal mistakes that cost the Lakers a defeat on game 3, came out of the dark and hitted the net for 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Kobe Bryant was the showman of the night, finishing with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and an outstanding display of basketball that reminded us why he is the current NBA’s Most Valuable Player.
On the Spurs, Tim Duncan finished the game with 29 and Tony Parker, who was also showing some incredible plays ended the game with 23 points.
All in all, the Lakers are the ones who will possibly pass to the NBA finals, so everything can be decided tomorrow at Los Angeles, and unless the Spurs find a way to get a victory at the Staples Center (which is not very likely), it can be the last game of the season for San Antonio.
