Celtics at one game of the NBA Finals

Yesterday the Celtics played like the team everybody expect them to be, with the big three having a great night, the Pistons fate was sealed at TD Banknorth Garden as Boston won 106-102.

Ray Allen, the player that was having a bad moment at this playoffs, came up big and shot for 29 points, while Kevin Garnett had a playoffs-high 33 and Paul Pierce finished with 16.

But not only the most renown players from the Celtics did a good job, Kendrick Perkins showed why he is a real promise in today’s basketball as he helped Boston with 18 points and 16 rebounds, in what it became one of his first games since he started playing professional basketball at the NBA, and without a doubt it was also one of the most meaningful.

It will surely be a great achievement if the Celtics can beat the Pistons at Detroit, as it will be one of the few road games they have won during the post season, but Detroit is not an easy team when they are playing at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and this could be a series that might possibly end in 7 games with the Celtics still having an advantage since that game will be at Boston.

On the other hand, the Pistons have being better than the Celtics when it comes to road games this season, and so if they get to tie the series to 3 tomorrow, they might arrive to the Garden with the necessary motivation to take down the Celtics.

Of course that would be something nobody would expect, since Boston is a clear favorite for the NBA finals and to come up with the championship.
