Kaczur and oxycodone

And the drug-professional player connection seems to go on and on, now we have Nick Kaczur, the third round pick of the Patriots back in 2005.

Kaczur got prescription painkillers on his hands when he got arrested by the police on April, and so he decided to cooperate with an investigation that led to 3 buys from Kaczur to his provider, Daniel Ekasala, on which the offensive tackle wore a wire and consequently led to the arrest of Ekasala, who is currently being indicted with 3 charges on illegal possesion of oxycodone. Ekasala was offered to cooperate with the investigation that could lead to the arrest of the people above him, but he refused.

Daniel Ekasala is one of those guys that loves to be friends with the stars, and one of those who would treat a football player like royalty, and so he would have never expected Kaczur to bring the heat on him, though Ekasala is no saint, he did thought both him and Kaczur were close friends, well, this kind of stories aren’t new… Pettite-Clemens anyone?

What else is out there for the Patriots? First they lost Super Bowl XLII after winning 18 straight games, then it came the scandal involving Bill Belichick and the illegal taping of rival teams signals, also, during the 2007 regular season Rodney Harrison got suspended for using human growth hormone, and now Kaczur added some more controversy to a team that was all good words and critics from the press before the Super Bowl, but that started to unveil its wrongdoings little by little after that event.

Hopefully the Pats are going to have a good 2008 season, and stay out of the controversy even though controversy sells, and alot…
