Taylor might become a Packer

Jason Taylor is not sure where he’s going to play at this coming NFL Season. He has spend all of his career with the Dolphins and now the Packers have their eyes set on Miami’s all-star deffensive end, and chances are that his new home will be Green Bay.

On his side, Taylor wants to play one more season with the Dolphins, but the Packers are willing to acquire his services only if he backs down from his desire of staying in the only team he has ever played for at the NFL.

Bob Sanders, the current Packers deffensive coordinator and deffensive tackles coach Robert Nunn, both are familiar with Taylor since they worked for 3 seasons with the Dolphins, “Anytime you can get a guy of that caliber, you’d want to try to get him”, said Dunn of Taylor.

Taylor will be a great addition to the Packers since their starting deffensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila is coming from knee surgery, and even though Biamila told the press that he will be ready for the starting of the season, the Packers are not willing to take a chance and are pushing for a trade in order to bring the 2006 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year to Green Bay.

At first the Dolphins wanted a first-round pick in exchange for Jason Taylor, but after many talks, they are willing to take a second-round pick for the 2007 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner.
